Our high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in sports both competitive and non-competitive. It provides opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way that supports their physical and mental health/wellbeing and embeds values such as fairness and respect.

Competitions
Every half-term, children have the opportunity to take part in intra-competitions, inter-competitions & tournaments within our school partnership and also at a local level.
Every year we also host our Annual Dance Festival. We work in partnership with many sporting organisations, such as our local football teams and the Yorkshire Sport Trust, which leads to further openings for competitive events and activities.
Our competitions run from 3.30-4.30pm unless otherwise stipulated.

School Games Gold Mark Award
The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward and recognise school’s engagement (provision and uptake) in the School Games against a national benchmark and to celebrate keeping young people active, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success. Oakhill has been awarded the Gold mark.
